Sacrifices:
·        Appeared in the F.A Exam While being a regular student of Gordon College from “C” Division Police Station, Rawalpindi and appeared for his Graduation Exam from District Jail Rawalpindi. Being a student leader was arrested for seventeen times and confined in District Jail Rawalpindi, Central Jail Peshawar, Central Jail Mianwali and Kot Lakhpat Jail Lahore. And Detained three times under section 32 of Defence of Pakistan Rules and also detained three times under section 3 of the West Pakistan Public Order Ordinance of 1960. But never convicted, instead all cases were withdrawn by the government itself and was acquitted, every time with honour.

                                

·        Being a journalist was trilled by a Military Court, under the allegation of spreading hatred against the Military Rule, in the form of question to (the then) Chief Martial Law Administrator Punjab Lt. Gen. Ghulam Jillani Khan. The case was still under consideration when the Military Government came to an end, and the case met the same fate.

Awards:
·        For outstanding services in the field of Journalism, Government of Pakistan Decorated with highest civil award, Sitara-i-Imtiaz on 23rd March 2009.
·        Winner West Pakistan Civil Defence Governor Challenge Shield in 28 August, 1971.
·        Journalist Award Given by Chief Justice of Pakistan Mr. Justice Muhammad Afzal Zula.
·        Shield given by Governor NWFP in 1994 during tenure as Media Consultant to the Government of NWFP.
·        Gold Meddle given by the Akhbar Firoshan through Abbasi News Agency Rawalpindi for the contributing towards the Welfare of the Akhbar Firoshan.
·        Children Friendly National Newspaper Editor Award 2006 and Rs.20,000/- cash prize given by "Sahil" as Resident Editor Daily "Khabrain" Islamabad on 7th March 2007.
·        Children Friendly National Newspaper Editor Award 2006 and Rs.15,000/- cash prize given by "Sahil" as Resident Editor Daily "Jinnah" Islamabad on 17th March 2008.
